Martin Truex jr. Takes Hard Hit at Martinsville

Martin Truex jr., NJ's Sprint Cup hope, took an extremely hard hit today at Martinsville Speedway. Truex struggled most of the day, going a lap down early. He fought back to become the first car a lap down and was awarded the Aaron's Lucky Dog.
Shortly after that the throttle stuck on the Napa Toyota taking him and Kasey Kahne, who was running in front of him at the time. The car hit the wall violently and momemtarily caught fire. Truex was unhurt and quickly ran from his car to check on Kahne, who was also unhurt.
The wreck was one of the worst seen at Martinsville in recent memory and was a testament to the safety measures instituted by Nascar.
A 40th place finish may have hurt Truex more than the crash. Bad day for Jersey, and Truex, in the Sprint Cup. Oh and by the way Harvick won by passing Dale Earnhardt jr. late in the race.
