After much speculation, and some obviously wrong reports, ESPN is reporting that Sprint Cup driver Carl Edwards has made his decision on where, and for who, he will drive in 2012 and beyond. In what may be a surprise to many Edwards has decided to remain with Roush Racing.
It had been reported, not only that Joe Gibbs Racing had been trying to sign the Aflac driver, but that they indeed had, to replace Joey Logano in the Home Depot number 20 Toyota.
Details were not yet available, but it had been reported that Ford Motor Company had actually agreed to pay Edwards a $10 million signing bonus to keep him in a Ford. No word yet on a sponsor.
