New Jersey race fans may have to get their racing fix early this week. Early weather forecasts are putting this weekend's shows at Bridgeport Speedway, New Egypt, and Wall Stadium in some doubt. Lucky for us New Egypt Speedway is presenting a great night of racing this Tuesday, August 23rd, and the weather is supposed to be great.
The New Egypt Mid-Week Special will feature the ARDC Midgets and the Big-Block Modifieds. As if an extra pay date wasn't enough incentive for the Modifieds to run just three short days after a very rough Saturday night for many of them, the race is also a qualifier for the FMP Short Track Super Nationals.
Spectator gates open at 5pm, with racing scheduled to start at 7:30pm. Adult admission is $22, children(12-15) $10, and kids 11 and under free.
New Egypt Speedway may be our only source for racing action, this week, in New Jersey, if Mother Nature has her way. However, maybe, just maybe, we'll all get lucky and get some good racing weather this weekend, anyway. Afterall, it wouldn't be such a bad thing if we got two race shows in this week would it?
