Thompson NASCAR Modified Event Dominated by One Driver

It would hardly come as a surprise to many if you told them the special NASCAR Modified event held today at Thompson was dominated by a Connecticut driver. Afterall, Ted Christopher had been nothing short of almost unbeatable here recently. However, while it was a Connecticut driver in victory lane twice today, it wasn't Christopher, but rather Doug Coby.
Coby collected his second career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race in the Northern Thompson 150. This also gave him a front row starting spot in the non-points, 50 lap UNOH Showdown, with the winner of the Southern Thompson 150, George Brunnhoelzl III. Coby jumped to the lead on the start, and led every lap for the win.
The UNOH Showdown was made up of the top 12 drivers in each 150 from earlier in the day, and 12 other selected drivers. I have listed the top 12 in each 150, and top 10 from the 50-lapper below.
