In what seemed like a little filler at the end of the show, Wall Stadium got a mention, on ESPN's Nascar Now tonight. Former Nascar Sprint Cup driver, Ricky Craven, made mention of Ray Evernham winning a Sprint Car race this weekend. He then followed it up by saying how many people probably don't know but Ray Evernham was actually a driver at one time at places like Wall Stadium in New Jersey.
What many people may also not realize is Ricky Craven, himself, actually competed in New Jersey once.
He ran in what at the time was a Busch North race held at the now closed Flemington Speedway. Another driver in the field that day, Jimmy Spencer.
Pretty cool, though, to hear the Jersey Shore speedway I grew up at mentioned on a nationally televised program.
