Martin Truex Jr. Pocono Results

New Jersey's Nascar Sprint Cup representative, Martin Truex Jr., had a better than expected day at Pocono Speedway. Faced with a new crew chief, and a 30th starting spot at a track that has never been kind to him the prospects for a good day looked bleak.
Early in the race it looked like the NAPA Toyota driver would have to settle for a 20th place finish at best. However, unlike races earlier in the season, the Michael Waltrip Racing crew managed to improve the performance of the number 56 with every pitstop.
The end result was a solid 10th place finish in the race won by Jeff Gordon. While Truex Jr. will have to do much more than finish 10th the rest of the way if he has any hopes of making The Chase, it was definitely a good start for his new crew chief.
